Stem Extension
SVF offers two basic types of stem extensions. Our “Therma Safe” extension is a cast device that mounts to the center section of the
valve onto the ISO-5211 mounting pad. This device has an enclosed stem offering rugged and stable support for manual operation. The top surface of the
“Therma Safe” is identical to the valve mounting pad thus allowing the device to be fitted with all of the common accessories such as:
locking device, actuators, switches, and a selection of handles.
A less expensive type of extension is fitted directly to the stem of the valve. The extension is threaded onto the valve stem and retained with an
allen set screw. This type of device is not designed to accept any optional features and it cannot be automated.
